Launched in May 2025, Bridge Beyond aims to document the historical trends of migration to the UK, as well as its present trajectories, in order to raise awareness about the challenges faced by successive generations of immigrants. It aims to provide them with informative resources to help migrants with systemic issues. The mission is to prevent these histories from being lost to oblivion, and so, Bridge Beyond aims to conduct long-form interviews with immigrants, in order to understand and document their lived experiences, along with creating a documentary to highlight the economic and infrastructural challenges that prevent integration of many immigrants into the UK’s social fabric.
A central part of the project would be the development of a live migration mapping tool, in order to facilitate a visual reckoning of migration patterns across periods of history, using mathematical modeling and demographic science, so as to understand how migration has shaped the UK. We also intend to develop original knowledge resources to help migrants with aspects like legal aid and employment, in order to offer holistic support, and these efforts shall be supported by a fundraiser to mobilize resources for migrant relief and empowerment.
